Title of position: Office Assistant
Position type: Non-Exempt Part-Time 16 hours per week (2 days per week) From: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Pay range: $23.00 per hour Benefits offered: None

Description of responsibilities:
This position works at the front office counter as a main customer contact in utility billing. Provides exceptional customer service. Responsible for issuing monthly utility bills, customer invoicing, processing and balancing daily cash receipts, service orders, and collections. Accurately enter payments received in accounting software that affect customer balances, verifying accounts are posted correctly. Deposit receiving payments on banking software and at city location. Answer realtor and title companies’ questions about our subdivision and process their demands with quick turnovers, work well with staff, elected officials, and vendors. Assist in water meter reading once a month and continue reorganizing office and storage files. Attend board meetings and formulate minutes and then post them on website. Assists management in other general duties and/or as assigned.
Required experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years’ experience in general clerical work and customer service. It would be an advantage to have experience with title companies and quick books.
Required skills:
Proficiency with all Microsoft 365 programs and must be a self-motivated.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to communicate clearly orally and in writing and must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time while performing office work.
